Our main objective is to deliver your consignment, undamaged and within the agreed timescale, we do not agree to deliver unless we have the resources "in house" to undertake the work.

Each consignment is identified by a triplicate advice document, copies being issued to the sender and the recipient - (except in special circumstances - see item 19 below)

"Goods In Transit" insurance cover is included within our price to a maximum value of £5,000. Higher limits can quickly be arranged for an additional charge if required. Our insurances do not cover consignments of cash or precious metals which we are happy to carry but at the senders own risk.

We always telephone the sender / client to confirm that delivery is completed giving the time and name of signatory. If the addressee is not available to sign we always point out to the recipient the urgency attached to the consignment and request that they expedite its progress within their organisation. This we feel is part of the function of a true courier and therefore is included in our quoted service charge.

We pride ourselves on having no hidden extra charges and try to indicate all the features which are chargeable on our website tariffs and printed card. Our experience over the years has allowed us to include many facets that the less experienced have not yet encountered.

We provide an accurate quotation (usually calculated from the route mileage computed from post code to post code) and in almost all cases our subsequent charge falls within our quoted price and is indicated by a "Q" on our invoice service code.

We apply an additional charge for waiting time, usually time spent waiting for a consignment to become ready for despatch, we normally waiver this charge unless waiting exceeds 15 minutes. Should our invoice include a charge for waiting time, the service code will show a "T".

Our motorcycle service is one which we beleive to be the most effective method of transportation for your consignment on todays congested roads.

We will carry up to 20kg by motorcycle provided the consignment dimensions are suitable, for example a package having a largest dimension of 1 metre would probably be ok..

If one client sends a number of consignments together to one delivery address they will be charged as a single item and share the total price equally.

If one client sends a number of consignments together to several delivery addresses, we can arrange separate charges either split equally or split proportional to the distance each was carried. The invoice service code will show "S" indicating a shared price.

If one client sends a number of consignments to several delivery addresses then each extra calling point within the main delivery run attracts an additional fixed charge. See our tariff under "secondary delivery or collection".

Where applicable toll and inner city charges are charged extra to quotation at cost. Proof of these charges will be provided if so required.

We are aware that confidentiallity may be important, for sealed tender delivery we will not divulge the sender's identity and always endeavour to obtain a signed and dated receipt. The "pink" recipient's copy of our triplicate advice documnent is retained, and returned to the sender as our proof of delivery.

We do have a minimum charge which is shown on our tariffs.

In certain circumstances we do apply various cancellation charges generally :-

if a job is arranged and cancelled before we leave the office we do not usually charge for cancelletion.

if a job is arranged then cancelled after leaving our office, we will charge our normal rate for the mileage covered, or our minimum charge, whichever is the greater.

if a job is cancelled after collection but on the delivery route we will charge for the total mileage covered.

if a job is cancelled at the delivery point we will charge the full price.

We are not licenced to, and therefore do not carry dangerous materials. (Please note our Conditions of Carriage items 3, 4 & 5).
